Fakhar Zaman's Early Life and Education
Fakhar Zaman was born in the Mardan district of Pakistan. He was born in a Pashtun ( a nomadic, pastoral Iranian origin group, also known as Pukhtoons) family. He has five brothers and two sisters, of whom he was the youngest. His father is a farmer, and his elder brother teaches in the Government High School of Katlang.
He completed his matriculation in Katlang and then moved to Karachi. After finishing school, he received training from the Pakistan Navy School and then joined as a sailor in the Pakistan Navy in 2007.
In the International Defence Cricket Challenge Cup, he represented the Pakistan Navy in Australia in 2012. He was the best player of the tournament. Due to his contribution to cricket, the Pakistan Navy awarded him the rank of lieutenant in 2020.
Domestic Cricket Career
In the 2016 Pakistan Cup, he was the second-highest run scorer. Fakhar Zaman was named in the Durban Qalandars squad in August 2017, for the 1st season of the T20 global league.
He was also selected for the Rotterdam Rhinos in July 2019 for the Euro T20 slam cricket. However, the tournament was cancelled.
Pakistan Super League
In 2007, he was drafted by the Lahore Qalanders. Initially, he received setbacks; later in 2018, he scored 94 runs, leading their win.
In the 2020 season, they ended up being the second-highest scorer.
Although the Qalanders released him, he was eventually picked up by them.
