He was born in a family originating from the Swati tribe of Pashtuns ( a nomadic pastoral Iranic origin group, also known as Pukhtoons). He was raised in Punjab and can speak Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto.

His first-class debut was for Northern in the 2019-2020 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, on 28th September 2019. However, he has played fewer first-class matches.
He plays for the Lahore Qalanders. Later, he started playing in the Pakistan Super League PSL. He was selected for the Abu Dhabi T20 trophy, which led to his debut in domestic cricket.
He was named in Balochistan’s squad for the 2019 Pakistan Cup.
He was named as one of the six players to watch ahead of the 2019-2020 National T20 Cup by the Pakistan cricket board, PCB, in October 2019.
He later joined the Melbourne Stars for the 2019-2020 Big Bash League season in December 2019. He joined there as a replacement for Dale Steyn, who was unable to play due to injury.
