Early life and Education
Babar Azam was born into a modest Punjab Kamboh (agrarian community of Pakistan and India) family in the inner Lahore city on 15th October 1994. He was the eldest of his three siblings, Safeer Azam, Faisal Azam, and Fariya Azam.
His mother was a housewife, while his father had a small watch-repairing shop. He studied at an Ali Education System school in Lahore, from which he left after the 8th standard to focus more on cricket. However, he later joined Lahore Grammar School and Forman Christian College.
In his younger years, he was attracted to cricket through his cousins Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal. He was so inspired by their stories that he decided to take Cricket as his profession.
